Feelings of inadequacy are part of every person’s experience, particularly those who are LGBTQ. Since its first mention in 1978, Imposter Syndrome has become a part of everyday language referring to those who feel they are fooling others, overlooking an objective view of their abilities and accomplishments. Eric Yarbrough, MD, a specialist in LGBTQ mental health, discuses feelings of inadequacy unique to the LGBTQ population and share techniques to manage feelings of inadequacy in ourselves and those we care about.
