Our Mission and History
Founded in 1983, Out Professionals is the nation's leading LGBT
non-profit network, with 1,000 Members and over 6,500 email subscribers
representing dozens of different work backgrounds and some 600
companies. At Out Professionals, you are sure to meet a wide range of
friendly, interesting and worthwhile people, with the potential
to become social and professional allies; successful people, who can
advance your career or help you make a career transition.
Out Professionals Membership. Out Professionals offers two levels of membership: Business ($125) and Individual ($65). Business membership offers each member a personal listing in our public "Directory of Businesses". Additionally, individuals may add their partners to their membership at a significantly reduced rate. Student membership is subsidized at $35/year. See Member Benefits for full details.
Events. Each month Out Professionals hosts various events, from
celebrity interviews, film screenings and professional panels to career
workshops. You will find an array of events to meet many of your
personal interests. The 3rd Wednesday of each month is typically our Main Event, with a cocktail social/networking hour preceding the featured event.

Networking is powerful and effective. At Out Professionals we make it fun and affordable. In addition to our events, all members have exclusive access to OP's online Member Directory where they can browse or search for other members. In addition, Business Members have public listings that they can use to promote their business to any visitor to the OP website.
Culture. Throughout the year, Out Professionals provides access to many of the community's leading writers, designers, producers, directors and others in the arts. From gallery openings and film screenings to author appearances, you can enjoy the rich cultural dynamics of our community.
Professional Development. Whether you are considering opening a new business, changing your career or expanding your knowledge of a particular specialty, Out Professionals seminars and workshops will meet your needs. With over 30% of LGBT professionals running their own businesses, OP addresses this unique and vital segment of our business community.
OP.LYNX is the Women's Network of Out Professionals. It was founded by OP women members as a way to increase and diversify the membership and host programs that are of interest to lesbian and bisexual women.
Job Bank is a free community service. Individuals and companies may submit and/or search job descriptions for free. Open positions are listed online and are emailed to our 6500+ email subscribers each month. OP Members can additionally list their resume when looking for a job or free-lance assignment.
News & Offers lists seminars, benefits, meetings, and other events sponsored by OP members, other LGBT non-profits and charities. OP Members can also submit classified ads. News & Offers is listed online and emailed to our 6500+ email subscribers each month.
Volunteer Run. Out Professionals exists primarily on the work of
volunteers. Our speakers, professional panels and seminar providers
donate their services. In this way, community professionals are able to
give back to the LGBT community and foster a support network so vital
